Primary goal
The primary goal of Tarannum is to create a vibrant musical community within the university where
students can explore and express their passion for music. By bringing together the Indian Music Ensemble
(Rooh), the Western A Capella Group (Accordo), and the university band (Avasa), Tarannum aims to provide
diverse musical experiences that foster creativity, collaboration, and excellence. The society strives
to harmonize the diverse musical talents of its members, encouraging them to grow both individually and
collectively, and to share their love for music with the broader university community.
Description
Tarannum is the music society of IGDTUW, serving as a vibrant platform for students passionate about
music. It offers abundant opportunities for students to explore and develop their musical talents.
As one of the largest societies in the university, Tarannum is renowned for organizing a wide array of
musical events and competitions, both within the university and at inter-collegiate levels. These events
encompass solo performances and group renditions, spanning various genres such as classical,
semi-classical, and a capella.
The society's commitment to fostering musical excellence is evident in its diverse activities. Tarannum
