AR/VR WORKSHOP
On February 5th, during IEEE's WIE Power 5.0 week, an engaging AR and VR workshop explained Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Mixed Reality (MR) and their applications. Highlights included a fun "Naan Meri Jaan" filter test, discussions on AR's impact on social media, and a competition to create Instagram filters, with winners receiving prizes.
Quadcopter Drone Workshop
The Drone Workshop, held from February 8th to 9th, 2024, aimed to teach beginners about drones. Participants learned about drone parts, software, and live demonstrations on the first day. The second day focused on operating drones, with hands-on practice in building, calibrating, and flying them. The workshop offered a fun, interactive introduction to drone technology.
Influencer’s day with Nishant Chahar
On February 12th, 2024, IEEE IGDTUW Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of ECE and Department of Training and Placement, hosted a transformative session with Nishant Chahar, founder of AlgoPrep and Microsoft Software Engineer. The event aimed to alleviate placement stress and provide guidance on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). Nishant shared his journey, offered career insights, and emphasized DSA's role in placements. The interactive session addressed internships, skill development, and career planning, leaving attendees inspired and empowered.
