ROBOCON 2016
For the year 2015, the teams had to design a robot for badminton’s doubles game—two robots hit and hit back shuttle by collaborating with each other. In contrast, the theme of ROBOCON 2016 is “Clean Energy Recharging the World” and team IGDTUW had made 2 robots – an eco robot, that receives energy from hybrid robot and a hybrid robot that indirectly drive or provide energy to eco robot. IGDTUW Robolution team was widely acknowledged and appreciated during the ROBOCON Event. The team was also interviewed by DD National for great efforts in ROBOCON 2016. The students were also blessed by our education minister Sh. Manish Sisodia on foundation day of our college. He motivated the students to perform better and make our nation proud.
ABU-ROBOCON
team Robolution used to participate in an Asia-Pacific Robot Contest ABU-ROBOCON, which had a different theme each year. Every year, the theme of ABU ROBOCON was declared in August; the design phase began immediately after that as the bot was designed per the theme and specifications of bot. Students used to build the robots right from the scratch. Since the bot was prepared entirely by the students they learned about design, construction and programming using Arduino microcontroller, propellers, pneumatics actuators, omnidirectional wheels, Open-CV, Kinect, MATLAB etc. apart from the cutting, drilling, riveting, welding and wiring tasks.
